Menlo Park, California, July 10, 1991 --Connectix Corporation today released major upgrade to MAXIMA, the popular Macintosh utility for systems with more than 8 megabytes of RAM.  Version 2.0 offers full System 7 compatibility, protected RAM disk for both 24- and 32-bit addressing modes, and enhancement of the 24-bit memory addressing capability.  This enhancement enables access to amuch as 14 megabytes of physical RAM for application memory in System 6 or System 7 without requiring use of 32-bit addressing mode.  MAXIMA 2.0 supports Balloon Help and is broadly compatible with Macintosh hardware and software under Systems 6.0.1 through 7.0.
